
Market Square, Old Noarlunga, South Australia,1881.
This building of stone rubble has a cement rendered finish to the quoins, porch and openings. The main features are the parapet and ornate cornice to the main roofline, and pediment and pilasters of the porch. The building served as Council Chambers until 1932. It was a major venue for picture shows, dances and concerts. Today it is managed by an association of local residents for use by the community.
